April 6th How to Audition for Drama School and Professionally with Shelley Barrett. From how to walk into the room, to resetting your inner monologue to help with nerves and confidence. We will look at the drama school audition experience and having the right mindset and also techniques adn best practice for auditioning for TV and film.
4.30-6pm, £25
April 13th Cracking Open Shakespeare with Elise Davison. A practical, accessible session for anyone who wants to perform and widen their stage experience.
4-6.30pm, £25
April 27th & May 18th Performing Sondheim with Ruby Davies. A two part workshop learning the material in the first class then returning to work on their performance and acting through song skills in the second.
4-6.30pm, £40 for both

We believe it’s important that young people are supported and prepared if they decide to build a career in the ever-evolving world of the performing and creative arts.
The Talent Shack Academy is a mentorship program designed to bridge the gap between early skills work and performing experience, and the very real business of developing yourself as a young professional ready for further training.
Bespoke Training
The Academy provides bespoke workshops, skills training, discussions, and experiences that will help our academy members develop their self-awareness as artists, allowing them to ask the real questions about the industry as well as opening their eyes to new pathways and possibilities into their chosen field.
Students are led through self-reflection and goal setting tasks, as well as creative analytical work to identify their strengths and challenges.
Visiting Professionals 2023/24
The Academy benefits from master classes and Q&A sessions with Industry Professionals throughout the year. These visiting professionals are chosen to match the interests of group. Previous creatives include:

- Koko Basigara (Musical Theatre Actor)
- Gareth Pierce (Actor)
- Vivien Care (Head of Musical Theatre at RWCMD)
- Likely Story (Local Theatre Company)

For now we are keeping our masterclasses open to all and bookable by the class. So you can dip in for the masterclasses that interest you and the time and financial commitment is minimal.
