AT THE TALENT SHACK:
A one day “special” working on material for Level 2 and 3 LAMDA Acting. Suitable for teens looking to start LAMDA or our current students getting ready for their next exam.
We will be reading scenes from two classics – The Country Wife by William Wycherley and Miss Julie by August Strindberg. We will then look at Stanislavski, his life and work. This is all work needed for the medal grades and we’ll get it done as a group, to save you doing it on your own!
LAMDA Grades 6-8 are perfect for students thinking of auditioning for drama college or a practical performance course at a Uni. You will be working on monologues appropriate for college auditions, from Shakespeare, the Classics, and then Modern pieces. You’ll also gain UCAS points with each grade.
Medal grades are equivalent to A-Levels. A lot of work is student led and depending on how quickly the individual learns lines and does the research it can take 2-3 terms to be exams ready. You don’t need to have taken the lower grades in order to take the medal exams and the work our students do in the Shack in our classes means they are ready for the higher grades by the time they are around 15.
This day long course will give students a head start on the work we will start in September in our weekly classes.
