Recently:

We celebrated the start of our 10th year with a gala night at the Royal Welsh College! With performances from current students, awards for every class, and Lorraine's famous raffle. It was a spectacular evening of fun and reflection on the journey that's brought us here.

The Talent Shack CIC (Community Interest Company) is a not for profit organisation providing opportunities for young people within the community to connect with the performing arts.

Our aims are:

- To bring quality, structured performing arts classes and strong production values to local young people in an inclusive way
- To widen the accessibility and experience of the Arts through performance and play
- To provide a valuable creative learning space for the community within a social and inclusive environment, in person and online.
- To target services to deprived communities within Cardiff and South Wales and communities who don’t find it easy to access quality drama and dance provision – such as children from low income families

This morning we had an Industry Masterclass in our dance studio @the_shackstudio with Ellie-Grace Cousins from the cast of The Lightning Thief UK tour. And this evening in our theatre space in the Shack our Acting and Singing LAMDA students performed some of their exam material ahead of their March exams, in the Shack. Everyone smashed it today. In our second workshop audition for Young Company ‘26 - Into the Woods everyone sang their solos for the audition panel of David, Alice and Shelley. Alice then worked with the group on an ensemble number, ‘Children will Listen’. It was such an inspiring evening!
