The Talent Shack CIC (Community Interest Company) is a not for profit organisation providing opportunities for the community to connect with the performing arts.

The shack is home to Shelley Norton Stage School and Management

The space is available to hire for rehearsals, classes, meetings, parties and more.

Our Aims

    • Our aims are to bring quality, structured performing arts and strong production values to the community to include all ages and abilities.
    • To widen the accessibility and experience of the Arts through performance.
    • To provide a creative learning space for the community within a social and inclusive environment.
    • Target services to deprived communities within Cardiff and South Wales and communities who don’t find it east to access quality drama provision – such as children with learning disabilities.

Junior Sew School

Junior Sew School offers after-school sewing tuition in a fun, friendly club. Suitable for age 7 and up, we offer small informal classes for complete beginners and improvers in needlework and for older children (11 and over) sewing machine tuition.
Termly classes will start at The Talent Shack on Monday 11th September 2017 and will run every Monday at 5.30pm until 6.30pm. Each class costs £7.00 per child and fees are payable at the start of each half term. Terms run in conjunction with school terms and are either 10 or 12 weeks long. Sparkles Hoop Troupe

Hoop Troupe is committed to sharing skills, developing talent and investing in the future of our hoop performers.
Using a blend of circus style hula hoops, a variety of dance forms, and performance skills, Sparkles Hoop Troupe Junior will develop and build on our future stars’ confidence and skills in a fun and friendly way! Each week we will build on our hula hoop skills, play hoop games and work towards a hoop performance at the end of each term.
Classes will be Tuesday evenings from 5pm – 6pm

What We Offer

    • We offer affordable creative opportunities and working with schools and community groups to ensure a broad mix of age groups can access facilities and creative learning.
    • Children and young people will develop their social skills, build confidence and life skills through the performing arts.
    • We put together bespoke packages depending on a groups needs, drawing on a pool of professional practitioners whose skills encompass all aspects of the performing arts.
    • Any profit goes into the development of the Shack as a community space.
